He has successfully resolved hundreds of disputes, ranging from single-plaintiff employment claims of discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge to nationwide wage and hour class and collective actions in court and at mediation. Well-versed in the NYCPLR and skilled in navigating the New York State Court system, John possesses exceptional litigation instincts and takes an informed and reasoned approach to problem-solving, leveraging his experience to favorably resolve disputes in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration.

John represents clients across the transportation, banking, hospitality, pharmaceutical, life sciences, technology and retail sectors. Meeting them where they work, in their corporate offices, on factory floors or in their laboratories, John provides practical guidance that supports his clients’ business continuity while mitigating their exposure. In addition to litigation, clients turn to John for employment counseling and training and to handle workplace investigations into alleged wrongdoing.

Before joining Vedder, John was an associate and senior attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, and served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, Office of Corporation Counsel. Before his legal career, he worked in New York State and local government as a Chief of Staff to a New York City Council Member and Community Affairs Director for a New York State Senator. This experience coupled with his litigation skills, helps John deliver innovative, winning strategies for clients facing government inquiries and investigations.
