Christine De Pree is an investment services lawyer who represents independent trustees and registered funds.

Blending in-house insight with law firm experience, she advises clients on regulatory, compliance, governance and transactional investment management issues.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the investment management sector, Christy brings broad industry knowledge and perspective. She assists independent trustees with disclosure reviews, board documentation and communications with fund management to ensure they fulfill their fiduciary and oversight responsibilities.

She also assists clients in registered fund formations and reorganizations and handles comprehensive fund disclosure work, registration statement updates, SEC filings and analysis of SEC proposals related to registered funds. Working collaboratively with clients, she helps them manage risk, avoid conflicts of interest and improve board processes.

Christy formerly served as an associate general counsel at global asset management firm Franklin Templeton, where she focused on fund disclosures and transactions and led a global team responsible for proxy voting on behalf of all Franklin Templeton clients.
