Monika J. Malek is an Associate member of the firm’s Intellectual Property group.

She advises clients on the full spectrum of intellectual property matters, including litigation, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management. With experience across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, Monika helps clients protect and enhance the value of their IP assets while aligning protection strategies with business goals. She manages global portfolios for clients in a wide range of industries and counsels on licensing, technology transactions, and IP due diligence related to mergers, acquisitions, and investments.

Monika represents clients through all stages of litigation in state and federal courts, handling disputes involving patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition. She also advocates for clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Monika’s practice spans startups to global brands, and she is recognized for her strategic approach to advancing and safeguarding clients’ intellectual property interests.
