Hunter Rush is a member of the Litigation practice area, where he helps clients navigate complex commercial disputes and antitrust matters across a range of industries.
His work focuses on high-stakes counseling and litigation involving competition issues, business torts, contract disputes, and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on practical, results-oriented advocacy aligned with clients’ business objectives.
Hunter guides clients through all phases of litigation—from discovery and motion practice to trial and appeals—and serves as first and second chair in both bench and jury trials. He is skilled at tailoring legal strategies to advance clients’ objectives in federal and state courts. Early in his career, he strengthened his litigation and appellate capabilities as a Judicial Intern for Chief Judge Roger L. Gregory of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Experience
- Advised clients on Hart-Scott-Rodino Act compliance, including preparation of pre-merger notification filings, competitive-overlap narratives, and supporting materials addressing NAICS codes, product markets, and supply relationships.
- Assisted clients in responding to antitrust and regulatory investigations, including managing large-scale discovery, reviewing pricing and bidding data, and developing litigation and regulatory strategies.
- Litigated complex commercial disputes involving contract, business tort, trade secret, restrictive covenant, and employment cases.
