Vedder Shareholder John Tawadrous advised the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) in connection with a $27.4 million direct loan to 6K Additive, Inc.

EXIM’s loan was completed under EXIM's Make More in America Initiative (MMIA) and is the first completed MMIA transaction undertaken in coordination with the U.S. Department of War’s (DoW) Defense Production Act Title III program, highlighting the growing use of coordinated Federal financing and investment programs to strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity and critical mineral supply chains.

6K Additive is a leader in the domestic production of premium metal powders and critical materials. EXIM's loan will be used to support investment in production infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities at the company's Burgettstown, Pennsylvania facility.

The transaction represents another milestone for EXIM's MMIA program, which supports the reshoring and expansion of strategically important U.S. manufacturing capabilities.

The Vedder deal team was led by Shareholder John Tawadrous and included support from Shareholder Alex Berger, who advised on real estate matters.
